Projects

Here is a small sampling of the works that we are doing to improve our communities and parishes.

Backyard Grill — FunFest

Every year the Salve Regina Council runs the Backyard Grill for our summer festival, FunFest. The Knights provide all the supplies and products to sell and provide a significant amount of the manpower to run the grill for the three day event. Our partner, Avril Bleh Meats, provides our metts, brats and Italian sausage. We also provide cheese burgers/hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and corn. The sales go to St. Mary Parish. It is one of our signature events of the year.

Friday Fish Fry

St. Mary Parish holds a Fish Fry every year, during Lent. The Salve Regina Council hosts that event and provides the food and supplies for the Fish Fry. Along with fish, we provide cheese pizza and sushi. We have sides of green beans, mac and cheese, French fries and clam chowder. There is a desert table, a drink table and an adult beverage table, as well. The event features a visit from Who Dey, the Bengals official mascot, and a split the pot raffle.

St. Mary Tree Sale

A Black Friday tradition for St. Mary parishioners, and the Eastside Faith parishioners, is the Tree Sale. This is run by the Knights of Columbus with the assistance of the parish at large for man hours. The Knights provide the trees, wreaths and delivery (within a certain radius) of the trees. We will also trim the tree at request. The sale goes on as long as supplies last, but it typically slated from Black Friday until Sunday.
